NaLeo TV is airing two nights of live candidate forums, featuring general election candidates who seek to represent portions of one of the fastest-growing districts in the state – Puna. The forums will be moderated by Ilihia Gionsen, who is U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard’s Hawaii Island liaison, and also founded Hiehie Communications.
This evening, the forum begins at 6:30 p.m., featuring the following candidates:
State House District 3: Susan Hughes
State House District 4: Hope Cermelj & Desmon A. Haumea
State Senate District 2: Joy San Buenaventura & Ron G. Ka-Ipo
Thursday, there will be two County races on the agenda, starting at 6:30 p.m.:
County Council District 5: Matt Kanealiʻi-Kleinfelder & Ikaika Rodenhurst
Hawaiʻi County Mayor: Mitch Roth and Ikaika Marzo
Both nights will air locally on Spectrum Channel 54, online at naleo.tv/channel-54/, and streaming on the NaLeo TV free mobile app.
