According to the Federal web site DoINeedACovidTest.com, the Pahoa Pharmacy is offering free COVID-19 testing this week through Friday.
Pahoa Pharmacy is at 15-2660 Pahoa Village Rd #205. The Federal program is one announced by the U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Jerome Adams, when he went to O’ahu in late August to discuss the importance of both testing and contact tracing to fight the virus that causes COVID-19. At that time he announced that the Federal Government was providing the state with more than 60,000 COVID-19 tests, which would be primarily available on O’ahu but also at one site on the Big Island.
Testing is free, but please take your insurance card if you have insurance, and your Social Security Number, as the expenses will be paid by the Federal Government.
