The Hawaii Island Food Basket, the island’s only food bank, will distribute food boxes today at Pahoa Community Center starting at 10 a.m. Anybody in need is urged to come. The distribution will continue until noon unless supplies are depleted.
Those coming should wear a mask, and make sure there is room in the back seat or trunk. Volunteers will place the food in the vehicle.
The Hawaii Island Food Basket is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. There is more at hawaiifoodbasket.org
