The Department of Public Safety was notified that a second deputy sheriff from the Executive Protection Section assigned to the Lieutenant Governor’s detail reported a COVID-positive test result. Another member of the Lt. Gov’s protective detail reported a positive test on Friday, Sept. 11; according to Lt. Gov. Green, both that deputy and his wife tested positive for COVID-19.
The deputy last worked on Thursday, September 10, 2020.
Lt. Gov. Dr. Josh Green and all 14 members of his staff were tested for COVID-19 on Friday and all are in isolation. Green has tested positive, and he is in isolation at home, in a bedroom separate from his wife and two children. He said yesterday he was feeling well.
