The State has added 169 COVID-19 cases, and now has 10,292 cumulative cases and more than 7,000 active cases. The State is reporting 94 deaths, but that includes only 3 from Hawaii Island, which is known to have 11, as of yesterday afternoon.
The Big Island has added 8 new cases, fewer than on previous days, and now has 541 cumulative cases with around 278 active cases.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the Big Island has lost 11 people to COVID-19, 10 of whom lived at the Yukio Okutsu Veterans Home in Hilo.
Kaua’i again has zero new cases, and Maui County has 3. O’ahu has 158 newe cases.
The State has added a new chart, the “probable” COVID-19 cases. The chart will be updated on Fridays, the legend says, and as of September 8, there are 7 people on the Big Island who are “probable” for COVID-19.
