PBS Hawaii’s Insights tonight will feature a panel of guests, including one from New West Broadcasting, to discuss last Saturday’s “all mail” Primary Election.
Scott Nago, the State Elections Administrator; Colin Moore, from University of Hawaii Public Policy Center; Catherine Cruz, host of The Conversation on Hawaii Public Radio; and Sherry Bracken, host of New West Broadcasting’s Island Conversations, which airs on KWXX, B97/B93, KPUA 670 AM in Hilo, and is posted as a podcast, will be the panelists.
Expect to hear an analysis of the two Mayor races–Honolulu and Hawaii Island, a review of how the election went and any things that should be improved in voting by mail. The panelists will also look at other major races–likely Hawaii County’s two County Council races still at play and at the Second Congressional District, in which Big Island State Senator Kai Kahele is the candidate on the Democratic ticket and one of his challengers, Raghu aka John Giuffre, from Hilo, will be on the ballot as the candidate for the American Shopping Party.
The broadcast will air tonight from 8 p.m. until 9 p.m. on PBS Hawaii, Channel 10 on Spectrum Cable, and also online at pbshawaii.org. Questions are welcome in advance or during the program at insights@pbshawaii.org. or by phone at 800-238-4847, or via the PBS Hawaii Facebook Page.
Because of COVID-19, participants will all be on Zoom.
