The State Department of Health reports there are 118 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the State. The state’s cumulative count is now 3,756, and there are 2,095 active COVID-19 cases statewide.
Kaua’i has no new cases. Maui County added 4. O’ahu added the most cases, as usual, with 112 new cases.
The Big Island has two more cases than yesterday, one because it was formerly thought to be an O’ahu case, and the number of cumulative cases for the Big Island is now 133, with 16 active cases. Today the morning Hawaii County Civil Defense Report matched the noon Hawaii Department of Health report regarding the active cases. One additional person is in the hospital with COVID-19 on the island.
Because of the surge in cases, especially on O’ahu, effective today there is an interisland travel 14-day quarantine for anybody traveling to a neighbor island. For Hawaii County’s rules, click here. For Kaua’i and Maui County, click here.
