According to the Dashboard, the reported worldwide cases increased by 245,864 in the last 24 hours. The worldwide death toll in the past two days increased by 5,149.
According to the Johns Hopkins Dashboard, the United States has added 53,774 cases in the last 24 hours, and reported deaths attributed to COVID-19 have increased by 838. The country has seen a steady climb in cases and deaths, and testing continues to be a challenge in many states–getting the test, and then getting the results back in a timely fashion.
Hawaii has a total of 3,346 cases, and as of Saturday, there were 2,804 active cases in the state. Most of the recent cases have been on O’ahu. The state has lost 31 people to COVID-19.
Hawaii County added 5 new COVID cases on Saturday, and as of yesterday afternoon, there were 13 active cases, spread all around the island. There will be an update around noon today.
