The state count of confirmed COVID-19 cases continues to grow, with today’s addition of 25 cases. That brings the state total to 1,023, with 777 released from isolation, so 246 active cases currently being monitored by the State Department of Health. The state did remove one case from the count based on updated information.
All of today’s newly-announced cases are in Honolu, bringing that island’s count to 744 with 544 released from isolation. Maui County has 128 cases, with 115 released from isolation. Kaua’i has 40 cases, with 32 released from isolation. The Big Island has 93 cumulative cases with 86 released from isolation, meaning the State DOH is monitoring 7 active cases.
There are 18 cases in Hawaii residents who are not in the state. Nineteen people have died from COVID-19, with the last death occurring last Friday.
