The state continues to see double-digit increases in COVID-19 cases. Today, July 4, the State Department of Health reports 24 new cases, bringing the state’s cumulative total to 999. Of those, 756 have been released from isolation, so the state has 243 active cases.
Today’s cases include 2 new for the Big Island, making 7 active cases on the island and a total of 93. Kaua’i added 2 new cases, for a total of 40, and the DOH report says 20 are active. Maui County added 1 case, for 128 total, and 13 still being monitored by the State Department of Health. O’ahu added 19 cases, bringing its cumulative total to 720, with 185 cases still being shown as active.
In good news, there have been no new hospitalizations, and no additional deaths above the 19 already reported.
