The Hawaii Island Food Basket, the island’s only food bank, is continuing its program of ‘Ohana Food Drops, giving food directly to anybody who needs it. Most of the locations which distributed food or meals before the COVID-19 pandemic remain closed. The next pickup is Tuesday, June 30 at the Ka’u District Gym.
Those needing food are asked to drive in and stay in their vehicle and volunteers will put the food in the back seat or trunk, so one of those areas should be clear to receive the food.
