Hawaii State Department of Health reports an uptick of 5 new cases of COVID-19 in the state today, 4 of which are on O’ahu, and one on the Big Island.  The one Big Island case was mentioned on the Sunday morning Civil Defense update.

That brings the Big Island’s case count to 82, with only this one known case being active, and O’ahu’s case count to 493, with 415 released from isolation.

Statewide, 91 people have required hospitalization, and 17 people have died.  The state case count is 728, with 629 released from isolation.  With today’s cases, the state’s case count is up 73 over Friday, June 5, 9 days ago.

Health officials want people to focus on protecting others from potential COVID-19 cases by wearing masks, continuing to physically distance from others, and continue hygiene practices.
