Hawaii State Department of Health reports  there are 6 new cases of COVID-19, all on O’ahu.   Hawaii’s case count is now 682.  There are no new cases on any other island.

The State DOH has not provided additional information, but State DOH Director Bruce Anderson has stated that we should expect additional cases of COVID-19 if people have been at large gatherings and were not  physical distancing or wearing masks, as happened over Memorial Day weekend.  There have also been people gathering at peaceful Black Lives Matter protests, and some at demonstrations against the way the State has been handling the pandemic.

Lt. Gov. Dr. Josh Green has said the state has adequate hospital and ICU bed capacity, as well as ventilator capacity, to handle a surge in cases.
