The State Department of Health noon report on Sunday, May 31:  one new COVID-19 case has been reported since Saturday, in Maui County.  The total cases in the state now number 652, with 608 released from isolation and not being monitored any longer.  The death count is still 17.

Hawaii County has had 81 cases, none of which are still active.

Hawaii County Mayor Harry Kim has issued rules (the latest late Friday) that allow restaurants and most businesses, plus Hilo Dragstrip, Hilo Skeet Range, and rodeo arenas,  to reopen starting Monday.

The state’s cumulative case count includes 421 on Oahu, 120 in Maui County, 81 on Hawaii island, and 20 in Kauai County, according to health officials. The total also includes 10 Hawaii residents diagnosed outside of the state.
