Hawaii State Department of Transportation is restoring the contraflow lanes to Route 130, Keaau-Pahoa Road northbound (Contraflow) from Shower Drive to Kaloli Drive, effective Thursday, May 7.
It’s a 1.1 mile route, and the Contraflow going northbound will be in effect weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 5:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. to help relieve traffic. It will not be operational during public school breaks nor on holidays.
The timing is to coincide with Governor David Ige’s current order allowing low risk businesses to reopen.
