Governor David Ige, the State Director of Health, all the other mayors in the state, Lt. Governor Josh Green (an emergency room physician and the state’s liaison with the medical community during the COVID-19 crisis), and the CDC urge everybody to wear a mask out in public, if they will be near people, such as in stores, AND to maintain at least six feet between people. This will help prevent people from spreading COVID-19, even if they don’t know they have it.
Now local stores are starting to crack down, starting with Foodland (Sack ‘n Save).
Effective Monday, all Foodland stores will require shoppers to wear masks. They are also limiting the number of people in stores. Limits are determined by the size of each store. Foodland is also asking customers to practice social distancing, maintaining a space of 6 feet between each other, while shopping.
