On Thursday, April 9, according to Hawaii Tourism Authority, only one flight arrived in Kona from out of state. It brought in 23 residents and 4 visitors, plus 6 crew. All of the incoming passengers are now subject to a 14-day mandatory quarantine. All passengers received a temperature screening by the Hawaii National Guard when they deplaned, and anybody with a fever was referred to State Department of Health for additional medical screening.
An even 100 visitors landed on O’ahu, and 139 residents. The Hawaii Tourism Authority and Governor David Ige are discouraging visitors.
