The BBC News has reported that the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has been moved into the Intensive Care Unit because of worsening symptoms of COVID-19.
Johnson tested positive 11 days ago and was recuperating at home until Sunday, when the 55-year-old Prime Minister was admitted to St. Thomas’ Hospital in London. Initial reports were that he was there for additional testing.
Johnson’s fiancee, 32-year-old Carrie Symonds, announced several days ago that she also has symptoms of COVID-19 and has been recuperating. She and the Prime Minister announced several weeks ago that she is pregnant and that they plan to be married this summer.
