The Kansas City Chiefs are re-signing wide receiver Demarcus Robinson to a one-year contract.
Robinson began his career with the Chiefs in 2016 as a fourth-round pick out of Florida. After failing to record a single reception in his rookie season, Robinson combined for 43 receptions, 500 yards, and four touchdowns from 2017-2018. Last season, Robinson was able to produce the best season of his career. He started in 10 games for Kansas City, earning a career-best 32 catches for 449 yards and four touchdowns.
Robinson’s new contract with Kansas City means he will have nearly $2.3 million in guaranteed salary. However, under the new CBA, the fifth-year wide receiver will only count around $1 million against the Chiefs’ salary cap.
