DOH now reports 48 cases of Covid-19 in Hawaii

The Department of Health reported today that the number of cases of Covid-19 rose by 11 since yesterday.   The statewide total is now at 48.  This is the second consecutive day that the number of confirmed/presumptive positive numbers have grown by 11.  Officials anticipate that this number will continue to increased testing takes place around the state.

The totals by island are as follows:

  • Oahu: 38 (increased by 10)
  • Kauai: 4 (no increase)
  • Maui: 5  (increased by 1)
  • Big Island: 1 (no increase)*

The Department of Health has not included the two additional positive cases on Hawaii Island, however Kona Community Hospital told KWXX/B97 today that two individuals in West Hawaii have tested positive for Covid-19.
