11 New COVID-19 cases in Hawaii- Big Island remains at 1

The Department of Health confirmed today that the number of cases of Covid-19 rose by 11 since yesterday. The statewide total is now at 37.

The totals by island are as follows:

  • Oahu: 28
  • Kauai: 3
  • Maui: 5
  • Big Island: 1

The Department of Health’s Director Bruce Anderson and State Epidemiologist Sarah Park says two of the cases are community spread, ie not people who have traveled or had contact with people who had traveled.  One of the new cases is a child.
